Jon-Marc Creaney became Principal of GCA Architecture + Design in 2003 after the retirement of Gerry Connolly, who established the practice in 1989. Since then the practice has developed a portfolio varying from small domestic projects to larger commercial, health care, leisure and community based developments.

Based on the outskirts of Glasgow, the company has been successful in securing projects both in central Scotland and further afield.

After studying architecture part-time at Glasgow School of Art, receiving the ‘Joe Park Award’ for most outstanding part-time student for his thesis project on the redevelopment of Cumbernauld Town Centre in his final year, Jon-Marc joined GCA in 2000. Since then he has focused the practice in achieving the highest standards of quality in design, developing an interior design section to compliment the architectural services and carrying out projects with local schools to promote design from an early age.
